Due to the influx of fatal fires in Montgomery County, the Magnolia Fire Department, in conjunction with other county departments will host a smoke detector blitz on June 17th in the Hazy Hollow subdivision. Firefighters alongside other volunteers will be going door to door In the neighborhood installing smoke alarms and checking existing alarms if present.
Get Alarmed Montgomery County was started in 2017 after 3 children tragically lost their lives in a house fire. Since then, Montgomery County Fire D have installed smoke alarms in homes all over the county free of charge.
